Being an artist has always been a goal in life for Michelle. Having an art teacher as a mom fueled her passions to pursue art as a career. She was introduced to glass in high school taking stained glass classes. Once she was able to melt glass her interest grew to something more than imagined.
Michelle finds inspiration from local trails and forests which have been a staple subject matter throughout her glass making career. Her favorite glass process is flameworking next to kiln work. There’s either something being fired in the kiln or she’s flameworking with borosilicate glass.
Michelle received her MFA from Ball State University in 2025, her BFA from Kent State University in 2020 and her AFA from Ivy Tech Community College in 2017. She currently teaches at the Indianapolis Art Center while creating her work.
You can find Michelle’s artwork in various galleries throughout her home state of Indiana, as well as nationally. You can also support her journey through Etsy where she sells small jewelry and tiny sculptures.
